The programme runs for up to two years. It is a transitional pathway with the end aim of supporting students with Learning Difficulties and additional complex needs that can access study programmes at Entry Level 2 to Level 1 and are able to attend vocational provisions without support, to become confident to make the choice of following a route into a suitable further education provision or employment.
Horizons students will study a Foundation Learning Programme that incorporates Maths, English and Personal Development Qualifications. The transitional part of the course provides learners with variety a of vocational opportunities with different off-site providers and a tutor programme that includes careers guidance and Personal and Social Development.
* City Centre based provision with fantastic public transport links enabling independent travel opportunities.
* A four day week which includes off site provision.
*A programme of study including Mathematics and English at Entry level and Level 1/2, Personal Development Qualifications and Enterprise Activities.
* Vocational tasters in partnership with colleges and other post-16 providers.
* Extended and purposeful work placement programme.
